Aluminium Marine Consultants (AMC), based in the historic shipbuilding town of Cowes on the Isle of Wight (UK), has been constructing aluminium boats and hulls and providing comprehensive consultation services for over 14 years. They specialize predominantly in the manufacture of workboats in the 10 to 26 meter range. To date, AMC has produced nearly 80 aluminium vessels, the majority being crew transfer vessels (CTVs) for the offshore wind industry. AMC employs more than 50 staff across two UK shipyards located on the east and west sides of the River Medina. Collaborating with leading naval architects, the company is at the forefront of design and innovation, particularly in autonomous survey craft. They are also working with offshore renewable experts, Catapult, to develop the next generation of hybrid and fully electric crew transfer vessels aimed at advancing the decarbonization of the offshore wind sector.
