Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS Institute) is a collaboration between Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Wageningen University & Research, Delft University of Technology, the City of Amsterdam. Launched in 2013, AMS Institute is a young public-private institute based in Amsterdam. Situated at the nexus between industry, government and academia, it's mission is to free intelligence from its ivory tower and let it out into the world where it can do something useful. One of participants of Roboat research project started in 2015, which resulted in spin-off company Roboat in 2023.
