Funding
The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) is a UK government agency responsible for funding and conducting world-class environmental science research. NERC's mission is to address key challenges facing the natural environment, including climate change, environmental resilience, and sustainable use of resources. The council funds research across a range of disciplines, including earth, atmospheric, freshwater, and marine sciences, and works with partners in academia, industry, and government to deliver impactful and relevant research outcomes. NERC is part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI).
