The Fugro Pegasus launches in the Middle East
🎯 The Fugro Pegasus, 12 m uncrewed surface vessels (USV) is the latest addition to Fugro’s Blue Essence family of USV’s and has just arrived in Abu Dhabi. Pegasus will be the Middle Eastern region’s first USV that has fully over the horizon capabilities. It carries the Blue Volta eROV as primary payload.
The vessel is intended for offshore inspection work to assist in the management of offshore assets. It will help to improve the efficiency of offshore assets by giving Middle East clients access to real-time data to assist in their decision-making.
Fugro is incredibly excited about the arrival of this cutting-edge technology in the region, which will revolutionise the offshore market in the Middle East. This first-of-its-kind technology will help clients maintain their world-leading position in the industry.
🏢 At the same time, Fugro has inaugurated a new facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), expanding its footprint in the Middle East and India region. With this new facility, Fugro reaffirms its commitment to offering expertise and advanced Geo-data solutions to the rapidly growing energy, infrastructure, and construction industries in the Middle East and India.
🎯 The new 28,000-square-meter facility will be the new base that advances collaboration between teams and act as a regional base combining expertise to support clients with advanced Geo-data solutions. The facility will also host a state-of-the-art Remote Operations Centre (ROC) expanding the company’s remote and autonomous capabilities, transforming the maritime sector. ROC will be able to work with USV Fugro Pegasus.
The new facility was inaugurated by the Fugro Board of Management Mark Heine and Barbara Geelen – and attended by the Council General of the Netherlands in Dubai, Abdulla Bin Damithan, the CEO & Managing Director DP World UAE and JAFZA.
