Pilot Technician (USV/eROV)

The USV Pilot Technician will be part of the mobilisation and local operations team. As such they work together with the onsite project team, consisting of a Site Manager, USV operator, eRov pilot and technicians.
Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate and maintain the USV systems according to established protocols and procedures.
- Perform pre-deployment checks and routine maintenance tasks to ensure the USV and eROV is ready for operations.
- Collaborate with the USV Operator, eROV Pilots, and other team members to ensure optimal performance of the USV during operations.
- Follow all operational, environmental, and QHSSE safety policies, adhering to national and international legislations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues with the USV and eROV systems, ensuring minimal downtime and interruption to operations.
- Assist in the planning, execution, and documentation of USV missions, providing detailed reports and feedback on operations.
- Continuously enhance knowledge and skills related to USV and eROV systems and operations through regular training and professional development opportunities.
- Participate in emergency response drills and training sessions to ensure readiness in case of unexpected scenarios.
- Report any incidents and contribute to incident investigations.
- Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the team and broader organization.
You Bring (qualifications & Experience)
- Local maritime qualification for the size of USV being operated.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience with ROV systems
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of HSE regulations
- Conversant with software in use.
- Proven skills in Mechanics, Electrics and Electronics
- Ability to communicate at all levels
