The Inspection Engineer collaborates closely with internal stakeholders such as Inspectors, Surveyors, Engineers, Data Processors, and ROV personnel to effectively execute offshore inspection projects
Job Responsibilities
- Perform company Inspection Engineering activities which include work onshore and offshore as required, in accordance with company policies and standards.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection plans based on project requirements and operational guidelines;
- Complete external and internal training and competency requirements related to Inspection Engineering, Non-Destructive Testing and Remote Operations;
- Collaborate with the eROV Pilots, USV Operators, and other team members to ensure inspections align with overall operational goals;
- Apply understanding of non-destructive testing, electrical, electronic and mechanical principles to Inspection activities
- Contribute to Operational, Site and Final reports under supervision of Senior Inspection Engineers.
- Maintain Inspection tooling and systems;
- Demonstrate competence with inspection systems and software;
- Administration of Inspection data before, during and after acquisition.
- Other Inspection related duties and administration as required.
You Bring (qualifications & Experience)
- Bachelor of Engineering or similar is preferred or technical experience commensurate with the position.
- Minimum of 1 year as a Trainee Inspection Engineer or appropriate experience in other roles engaged in Diver or ROV operations.
- Have completed formal Inspection Engineer training or hold either CSWIP 3.3U or 3.4U qualification.
- Ability to recognise and understand problems and opportunities by collecting information from varied sources & takes action where required.
- Working knowledge of computer systems, audio and visual hardware.
- Working knowledge of computer software including data acquisition/reporting systems and the Microsoft Office suite. Awareness of other relevant software such as CAD and relational databases
