Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be served by zero-emission autonomous ferries
? HYKE – Hydrolift Smart City Ferries is among winners of tender by the French government represented by the Minister for Transport, Clément Beaune and arranged by Voies navigables de France (VNF) to deliver our zero-emission, autonomous transportation solution during the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics. The winners were announced by French Mobility Strategy Committee consisting of the Minister Delegate in charge of Transport, Mr. Clément Beaune chaired alongside the Minister of Sports and the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Ms. Amélie Oudéa-CasteraA and the Minister Delegate in charge of People disabilities, Mrs Geneviève Darrieussecq, the second strategic mobility committee for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in the presence of elected officials, the Organizing Committee, State services, associations, operators and transport companies.
⛴ HYKE together with its partners Rivercat, Metropolis of Juvisy, Ris Bordeaux Consortium Oranges and Commune de Soisy sur Seine to build a new river ferry 15 meters long, accessible to people with reduced mobility, with a capacity of 50 people, electrically powered with level 4 autonomy.
The other winners are:
⛴ Roboat, Holland Shipyards, Sequana Développement with aim to build a 10 m river ferry, accessible to disabled people, in level 4 autonomous navigation, with 100% electric propulsion with a capacity of 35 people;
⛴ Bluenav, Orion naval engineering Drone Protect System, Keolis, E nautic, port of Bordeaux and Métropole de Bordeaux focused on building a 12 m river ferry, accessible to people with reduced mobility, with a capacity of 12 seats with 100% electric propulsion.
