Sea Machines Robotics unveils its own USV
US-based developer of autonomous shipping solutions, Sea Machines Robotics expands portfolio of products with USV SELKIE. USV SELKIE is a versatile multi-use platform that offers customizable solutions to meet specific needs across various sectors of the maritime industry.
SELKIE is powered by the SM300 Autonomous Command and Control system, which provides robust autonomous capabilities that has over 20,000 hours of on-water testing and client use time.
???? Michael G. Johnson, Founder and CEO of Sea Machines Robotics, commented:
“She’s a truly autonomous USV that can be used in coastal and open water.
Utilize her to gather at-sea data both above and below the water, use her to carry over 1,000 lbs of cargo or onboard payload, use her to guard an active offshore industrial field, use her to quietly follow an animal species for scientific study.
In some ways, SELKIE is a universal pick-up truck on water, but we are targeting applications that are Dull (of the Dirty, Dull, or Dangerous) where there’s immense value in keeping a boat of this size working for extended durations at sea and challenging to do the same using conventional operations, ie with humans on board.
Launch from a trailer, davit, or crane and command her via the SM300 user interface with full at sea connectivity of at least 5 Mbps of data steaming back.
Outfit her with any specialized equipment to meet your project requirements; SELKIE has plenty of space and power.
Her onboard Seakeeper limits roll to improve sonar returns, video streams, and open water payload deployments.”
???? USV Selkie will become available for customers since summer 2024.
