SeaOwl gets Bureau Veritas approval for unmanned supply vessel design

SeaOwl, France-based USV developer, received the Approval in Principle (AiP) from Bureau Veritas for the ‘Design Remotely Controlled Unmanned Supply Vessels’, in collaboration with ADNOC L&S, UAE based the shipping and maritime logistics arm of ADNOC. The aim of this project is to build autonomous vessels by design for delivery in 2026 for ADNOC L&S.

💰 At the same time SeaOwl is announcing a €6 million investment to build a maritime drone factory in the region Sud of France, with the first stone to be laid in Q4 2024. The factory will be run by the SeaOwl group’s technology branch in La Seyne sur Mer.

🤝 This venture has been supported by the French Secretary of State for the Sea Hervé Berville, the DGAMPA, France 2030 Matthieu Landon, the MP Yannick Chenevard, the Pôle Mer Méditerranée, GICAN, CORIMER and Butler Industries.

ADNOC Logistics & Services signed an agreement with SeaOwl for the design of unmanned remotely operated vessels capable of transporting vehicles, equipment and supplies to and from offshore sites in May 2023.
