π Recommendation for regulation of AI-based transportation solutions published in Poland
Polish marine robotics startup Blue Armada Robotics alongside with consulting agency nst.agency participated in development of recommendations for the implementation of regulatory tools for artificial intelligence in transport and mobility utilising cutting-edge autonomy-enabled solutions for the The Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Poland.
π€ MichaΕ Latacz , CEO of Blue Armada Robotics said: “A new branch of the economy related to cutting-edge marine autonomy is emerging before our eyes and it requires a number of regulatory solutions to drive the deployment of operations at scale”.
π― The report is aimed to provide policymakers with broad and complex understanding how the Artificial Intelligence and especially drones in a Transport, Logistics and Maritime can fulfil the need for the carbon footprint reduction, creating new workplaces in the post pandemic World, at the same time increasing the safety and usability of new technology related to machines, robotics and software supporting daily works in harsh environments. Is provides the detailed layout of how to create and allow the Digitisation Chancellery of Prime Minister to take and assure routes to create the correct legal and organisational framework to facilitate broad spectrum of regulatory sandboxes including for the accommodation of the artificial intelligence.
The report has been produced as a part of the legislative process started back in 2020 with a legal act called the Policy for AI in Poland after 2020. This act has enabled the Polish AI ecosystem to start working over use case policies and it has allowed for a broader understanding of the current situation.
The goal within the report is to allow the experiments to take place and a creation of a bespoke sandboxing environment with a simulation facility that will enable for automated drones and robotic vessels and airborne drones to check, manage and execute safe operations though continuous trajectory management with the IoT understood as an Internet of Drones network, area and restricted, no-go, safe zones creation and management via reservation for the safe operations in any vicinity allowing for unmanned operations for PVE, offshore inspections, long term underwater, on the surface and above the surface operations including inspections, patrolling and maintenance or repairs at the same time guaranteeing a full situational awareness to other vessels, harbours, ports, drone or robots operators at the sea, ocean or in the air above.
